The science behind it:

Using time intentionally and efficiently decreases procrastination and anxiety.

The science behind it:

Decreasing clutter correlates with decreased cortisol levels which promotes increased mood, self-esteem, and sleep quality.

The science behind it:

Responsibility requires self-motivation, which can be learned through reinforcement from others. The release of dopamine resulting from reinforcement trains the brain to prioritze that task and promotes accountability.

The science behind it:

The release of dopamine in the brain generates the release of a neurotransmitter called GABA that synchronizes cells within the cingulate cortex and insula, which causes self-reflection areas to be activated.

The science behind it:

The repetition created by a routine promotes motor brain functions to switch from the medial to lateral striatum, which switches your brain from “manual” to “automatic.”

The science behind it:

Repeated interaction with content promotes higher amounts of neurotransmitter release, training the brain to encode that information in a stronger way through a process called long-term potentiation.

HOW WE DO IT

Students all over the country meet with us twice a week to get organized, make a plan of assignments and extracurriculars, and create routines. We help students hone their executive function skills through an academic lens, holding them accountable every step of the way.

FindING Your Coach

We begin by pairing you with the right mentor for your personality and learning style. From there, the two of you will build weekly academic plans so you can balance school and life while staying organized.

BuildING Your Plan

Breaking daunting assignments into manageable tasks (to avoid procrastination!) is the key to college success. With your mentor, you’ll develop weekly plans and checklists that fit into your schedule, not the other way around.

HoldING Virtual Check-ins

With a weekly plan in hand, you and your mentor will hold virtual check-ins via email, phone, and text throughout the week so you’re held accountable and stay on track.
