Why a Membership Model?
Most executive function coaching is transactional. You pay $150 to $200+ an hour for a 50-minute session, covering as much as time allows in that window. Once the session ends, the student is on their own until the next week. We do things differently.

Why do you use a monthly subscription instead of charging per session?
At Untapped Learning, we don't just teach content; we build capability. Real progress begins with the right support system—one rooted in relationships, executive function skill-building, and personalized tools. Developing executive function skills requires time, effort, and repetition. We do not charge per session because our model is built for student consistency and long-term success. The subscription is designed for consistent, high-impact engagement through our specialized support model, which includes coach check-ins outside of formal sessions and access to the Homework Center.
What if I join mid-school year or mid-calendar year?
You can join our program at any time! Because our model is a monthly recurring subscription, your billing is tied to your specific start date. Your account will be billed automatically every month on the anniversary date of your student’s first coaching session. Please note that we do not apply proration logic for mid-month or mid-year starts.
How does the monthly billing work?
Our program is a monthly recurring subscription designed to provide continuous access to coaching and center resources. The first month’s payment is due at sign up, and subsequent payments are billed automatically every month on the anniversary date of your student’s first coaching session. Monthly payments remain constant regardless of the number of weeks in a specific month, and we do not apply proration logic for mid-month starts or holiday breaks. The subscription rate accounts for scheduled academic breaks and center "blackout dates" (e.g., Thanksgiving and Winter Break).
Does the Homework Center cost extra?
No, it does not cost extra! Enrolled students have access to the Homework Center and Office Hours between their formal 1:1 sessions for additional task-initiation support. The monthly subscription rate remains constant regardless of a student's use of the Homework Center.
Do I work with my same coach the whole time?
Yes, we prioritize the strong bond between your student and their primary coach, as it is vital to the success of the program. Students receive 60 minutes of 1:1 coaching per week with their designated coach. However, there may be occasions—such as unexpected illness or planned time off—when your regular coach is unavailable. To ensure your student always receives consistent support, these sessions will be covered by another fully certified Untapped coach who has been briefed on your student's specific goals.
What is your cancellation or drop policy?
We require at least three (3) business days' written notice prior to your next billing anniversary to avoid further charges. You must specify your student's final session date when giving notice. If your chosen final date falls after your next billing anniversary, your full, non-prorated monthly payment will process, and you will retain full access to services until your selected end date. After a monthly payment has been processed, we are unable to issue refunds. To provide notice, 6th-12th grade families should contact Karen Wilkinson (kwilkinson@untappedlearning.com), and post-secondary families should contact Emiko Patterson (epatterson@untappedlearning.com).
What if we need to reschedule a session?
Families must provide at least 24 hours' advance notice to reschedule a session. To maintain program momentum, any rescheduled session must be completed within seven (7) days of the originally scheduled date. Sessions not completed within this window are forfeited.
Can we pause our continuous program?
Yes. Students enrolled in the Continuous Program may request a temporary pause in services. A pause request requires at least two (2) weeks' written notice sent to your program lead (Karen Wilkinson (kwilkinson@untappedlearning.com) for 6th-12th or Emiko Patterson (epatterson@untappedlearning.com) for post-secondary). Programs may be paused for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of three (3) months. Families are limited to one (1) pause period per 12-month window.
What happens if my student's coach is unavailable?
We prioritize the strong bond between your student and their primary coach, as it is vital to the success of their program. However, a session may be covered by another coach at any time, without prior notice. All coverage coaches are fully Untapped certified and specially trained to run coverage sessions. The coverage coach will always connect with your student’s regular coach beforehand to understand exactly how to best support your student's current goals.
